Profile

Robert A. Caneco is a Registered Architect, who has been designing and creating interiors and buildings in New York, New Jersey, and Vermont for the last 31 years. Finding his designs increasingly inspired and influenced by Vermont’s landscape, Robert finally decided, in 2006, to base his firm in the Green Mountain State and he and his family relocated to Vermont.

Robert believes good design should be affordable and accessible to everyone. On projects large and small, he listens deeply to his client’s desires and explains things patiently, in layman’s terms. His skill in designing buildings and spaces that bring in the surrounding beauty of Vermont, have made him more and more in demand.

With Robert, architecture is not just what he does but who he is and how he thinks. His innate  ability to design or redesign spaces is ever present and even when not on a job, he is creating in his mind wherever he goes!

The majority of his work is residential and commercial buildings, but performs various tasks for a  varied list of project types ranging from space planning, storefronts, residential alteration projects, commercial interiors, landscape design. The office does, however, specialize in Sustainable Energy Building Design, Renewable Energy Building Design (including Solar Thermal and Solar Photovoltaic Design), Zero Energy Building Design as well as Restaurant Design.
